Quick Capital support Robert Holden in competing at 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games

On Friday 13th July Rossendale Golf Club will be hosting the Robert Holden Golf Day. The event is taking place to raise money for Robert Holden, a talented sportsman who has been selected to be a part of the GB golf squad competing in the 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Abu Dhabi.

Robert is a multi-talented sportsman, at the age of 22 he competed as a skier in the Special Olympic Winter Games where he took home three medals, including a gold.

Recently, Robert also took home a gold medal in the Special Olympics National Games in Sheffield which boosted him a step further to competing in the 2019 World Games.

Robert’s mum Jane says, “When he competed in Sheffield he was amazing. He played over three days on an 18-hole championship course. He was so focused, it was remarkable, and he took everyone by storm! We had applied for the World Games and when we found out he was in the squad I cried, I was so proud of him! He was euphoric – he is so looking forward to it.”

By holding the golf day, Robert’s family hope to raise as much money as possible to help realise his dream of competing in March next year. Quick Capital will support Robert in his journey by sponsoring a hole at the event held at Rossendale Golf Club, starting at 11.00am on 13th July.

Teams of four will be competing for fantastic prizes and throughout the day there will be a courtesy course bar as well as pie and peas after play.

We will keep you updated on this fantastic event.
